Hello all,
Had a few ideas about the Liber Primus. Mentioned them in the #cicadasolvers freenode chat, but thought I'd post them here.
The two images featuring triangles are Blake's Newton (top with compass), and The Ancient of Days (bottom). 'Newton' features Isaac Newton painted as a beautiful figure sitting on a beautiful rock, yet he's blind to it all, as he's too focused on his measurements (Blake was a romantic a movement that came about as a reaction against the enlightenment; they felt passion was too subdued by logic and reason). The bottom one features Urizen, who's considered to be the embodiment of logic and reason, as well as serving a sort of "Satan" role, similar to Milton's Satan. As well, the image itself is taken from Blake's "Europe, A Prediction", so perhaps there's something in that, or maybe in one of Newton's works that may help with deciphering things? The two triangles arranged as they are remind me of the Masonic symbol, but I don't really want to start delving into conspiracy territory...
One other thing, that perhaps is more relevant, is the tree. In Norse/Saxon mythology Odin/Woden gains knowledge of the Runes by hanging himself from Yggdrasil (the tree of life). The recent clue from Cicada featuring the tree makes me inclined to think there may be something to this...
